Welcome to FMRC

The Forward Motion Race Club is the leading organization for recreational runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes in the East San Francisco Bay Area. Our membership includes active people of all abilities, from people training for their first 5K to Ironman triathletes and former Olympians. The club is registered with USA Track and Field, USA Triathlon and the Road Runners Club of America.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN?

There are multiple reasons to join a great race club. FMRC members have the opportunity to network with hundreds of other like-minded, active and fun people, which leads to long-lasting friendships. They also have access to excellent weekly group training sessions, in-depth clinics with elite athletes, club social functions and a plethora of resources in training and racing. The club is supported by many businesses led by its title sponsor Forward Motion Sports of Danville, California which passes along a 15% discount to all members on all of the products at its store.

...BUT I'M NOT AN ELITE ATHLETE...

You don't have to be a super star to enjoy racing. Entering yourself in races is a great way to test yourself as you improve. The Forward Motion Race Club rewards members of all levels for their improvement and performance while helping them train for upcoming events in which they would like to compete. By having a healthy mix of beginners, intermediate athletes and local elites, everybody has a chance to learn from someone. What better way is there to achieve your personal goals than to surround yourself with people who have already accomplished them?

HOW MUCH DOES THIS ALL COST?

You could easily spend $50-$100 for one clinic or race this year, but joining Forward Motion Race Club for an entire year is only $60. There are no additional charges...all of the group workouts, social events, training and racing resources, sponsorships, discounts at Forward Motion Sports and networking is included. We do encourage our members to wear FMRC jerseys/kits when they race, but they are able to receive one free jersey or kit for every pair of shoes they buy from our sponsors Forward Motion and Avia (still discounted 15%).

The $60 membership fee pays for itself:
Run six local races ($5 discount on each one)		$30
